This innovative project is at the intersection of archaeology and digital preservation, led by our talented student developers Anita Duncan, Alicia Hall, Camryn James, and Tristan Anaya. We’re conducting comprehensive 3D scanning and 360° videography workshops while documenting an archaeological dig site, creating an immersive digital record that bridges the physical and virtual worlds.

In an era where digital representations become increasingly important, our work ensures that natural and historical sites are accurately preserved in the metaverse. These digital twins not only serve as educational tools but also provide unprecedented access to archaeological discoveries, allowing students and researchers to explore and study sites remotely while preserving the physical locations.
