Where Technology meets Humanities

Our mission is to forge interdisciplinary partnerships, empowering scholars to innovate and challenge traditional academic boundaries.

What is CDH?

The CDH provides creative, scholarly and educational support for researchers, teachers, and community members seeking to more fully understand the world’s ongoing and emerging needs.

Projects apply technologies like data visualization, digital storytelling, 360-degree immersive video, digital mapping, and virtual and augmented reality to subjects including traditional African dances, Buddhist temples and rituals, ancient writing and languages, and religious expression in social media.

Fresh Perspectives

Projects involving voices from the margins are especially encouraged by the Center, along with other digital humanities initiatives that leverage the sorting, calculating, analyzing, and visualization power of computational tools and techniques.
